A porosimeter is a device that measures how fabrics pass air through them. In paragliding, this test is very important because when using the wing the porosity increases and when it is too high flying becomes dangerous.
The porosity test can be very useful when buying used equipment, the colors and appearance often do not show the real condition of the fabric.
